Soya Sauce Prawns 豉油蝦

It has been a while since I cooked for my best friend A, so it was a wonderful idea to cook her a very simple lunch before we head out to a friend's birthday party. This is a Cantonese classic and I am using the recipe I learnt from Aunty E during my stay in Hong Kong. Simple and very delicious is all I can say about this dish!
P.S The internet is still extremely slow and I can't wait to see what you have been cooking! I will reply to all the questions for my previous posts a.s.a.p.

serves 2 as part of a Chinese meal
you'll need;
12 whole prawns*
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 shallot, minced
1 cm slice of butter
1 spring onion, chopped (optional)
* Cut away the pointy heads of the prawns and remove the sand sacks.

for the sauce;
1 tbs of light soy
1 tbs of Maggi seasoning sauce
1 tsp of sugar
2 tbs of water
dash of sesame oil
dash of white pepper

Have all the ingredients ready.

Pan fry the prawns with a little oil til 70% done.

Melt butter in a pan and saute minced ingredients for a minute follow by the sauce and stir well. Return the prawns to the pan.

Turn the heat to high and continue to stir. Chuck in the spring onions when the sauce has almost dried up.

Serve immediately as part of a Chinese meal. Don't forget to provide a finger bowl.
