Snapshots From Kuala Lumpur - "Malaysian Monday 77"
Over the weekend I unearthed some photographs taken during Tummy's first trip to Malaysia (KL and Melaka) in January.
Overall he was very impressed with our modern capital - the wonderful street food, the historical buildings and its warm and friendly inhabitants all left a lasting impression on him. He has since been back once and is planning to visit Penang in a few months' time.
Here are some snapshots of taken by him around KL.
Petaling Street - KL's Chinatown discount heaven for everything cheap and cheerful.
However the real gems are some of the best food in KL. The double storey Restoran Kim Lian Kee (金蓮記) was once a humble little tin roofed noodle shop (the famed KL Hokkien noodles was an invention of the founder).
Busy lunch trades at KLK.
For me this is a must have at KLK, dark, sinful seductive KL Hokkien noodles. For the recipe please click here and for a halal version, click here.
Our friend Shannon from Just As Delish will be our host for the month of June, so please send all your entries to firstname.lastname@example.org
