This is my National Geographic plus Sir David Attenborough moment happening right inside my little back garden! A pair of common black birds (turdus merula) have decided to build a home in our humble backyard, the two little chicks were very busy exploring the garden and one of them actually came into my studio one morning. These chicks are still learning how to fly and the parents have been rather busy hunting and feeding them non stop. Here are some of the photographs I would like to share with everyone. One of them was hiding underneath the tree fern (photo above)
P.S I miss you mum!
The other was waiting to be fed on the tree branch, my presence was completely ignored.
Still waiting.........
Later I found out daddy bird has been bringing baby bird food when I was not looking, the adults are extremely camera shy.
This is really sweet! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful you were being ignored! Great shots!
ReplyDeleteCheers buddy!
These used to be a bird nest under our roof, and that almost drove my cats crazy...I meant they had to hunt for them and whenever the birds saw my cats sitting at the bank of windows....they dared not to fly home.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

ReplyDeletekawaii!
ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful !The close-up on the bird is stunning. There are two sunbirds building their nest on one of my potted plant in my balcony these past one week. There were altogether 5 times the sunbirds lay eggs and hatched their babies in the same nest... my hubby had since removed the old nest as there were so much bird droppings on the wall and floor. This time round we will just let them build the nest and have their babies there. Will update on the photos.
